At Gorebridge Primary School PTA, we work hard to organise fun events for the children throughout the year – from school discos and fairs to special visits from Santa. These events help create wonderful memories for our pupils and raise valuable funds to support activities and resources in the school.
To make them happen, we need helping hands. That’s where our Occasional Volunteers come in.
Our Occasional Volunteers are parents and carers who are happy to help now and then, without committing to joining the PTA or attending regular meetings. When an event is coming up, we’ll send out a message asking if anyone is available to help. If you can make it – fantastic! If not, no problem at all.
You might help:
- Supervise a craft or game stall at a fair
- Help set up or tidy up after a school disco
- Serve snacks or sell raffle tickets
- Help make a magical Santa visit run smoothly
Even giving an hour of your time can make a huge difference. Every extra volunteer helps us run safer, smoother, and more enjoyable events for the children.
Most importantly, your support helps us create those special moments that pupils remember long after they leave primary school. For example, here’s a picture of the Marshamallow Room in the school which is used as the Grotto before and after some volunteer elves spent an hour getting it ready for Santa’s arrival just before Christmas.
